How TOPGameX scores games
TOPGameX Score is a weighted editorial recommendation for real players. It is built to explain why a game belongs in a list, not to pretend one number can replace taste.
Editorial, not scraped
External sources support facts and context, but the TOPGameX score is a curated recommendation.
Repo-managed content
V1 games live in typed data files so every change can be reviewed, validated, and deployed deliberately.
Source-backed facts
Release dates, stores, platform availability, and official pages are attached to each game entry.
PC first, expandable
The model already supports PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and mobile, but the first public pillar is PC.
Score weights
Each game is scored from 0 to 10 across six criteria. The published score is the weighted result.

How sources are used
Store pages, publisher pages, and official sites are used to verify release dates, platform availability, editions, storefronts, and technical context. TOPGameX does not copy another site's score and call it our ranking.
What comes later
User votes, comments, accounts, and automated imports are later phases. They will only launch after the editorial database has enough quality and the moderation model is clear.
